Trey Gunn, an extraordinary musician and Warr guitarist, has left an indelible mark on the world of progressive music. Renowned for his unique tapped playing style, he has graced stages and recording studios alongside legendary acts such as King Crimson, Brian Eno, David Sylvian, and Robert Fripp.
His latest project, Tu-Ner, features Markus Reuter, a German-born touch-style guitarist, composer, and member of Stick Men; Pat Mastelotto, the hybrid acoustic-electric drummer who has been a cornerstone of King Crimson since 1994; and Gunn himself, the Warr guitar innovator who spent a decade with King Crimson before building a bold path as a solo artist and co-owner of 7D Media.
Ahead of Tu-Ner’s shows at the Sellersville Theater on August 10 and The Allen Theatre on August 11, Trey spoke with General Manager Paul Krempasky about the new project, creativity, and more.
